Signatures fell for projects € 3,377,000 on the coastal Oroklini

The Contract concerning the project "Construction of protection projects of the Oroklini coastal front" was signed today, Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works. The Contract was signed, on behalf of the Government, by the Director of the Department of Public Works, Mr. Antonis Koutsoulis, and on behalf of the Company "C.KASINOS & SON LTD" by the General Manager, Ms. Costas Kasinos.

The project is located in the sea area of Oroklini in Larnaca province, in the coastal area opposite the Oroklini Police Station and includes the construction of seven parallel breakwaters, the demolition of the existing cantilever in front of the Lebay Beach Hotel and the lifting of the three existing ones.

The breakwaters are located at a distance of about 100-200 meters from the shoreline and at a depth of about -3.7 meters from the Average Sea Level (MST). Their coronation level is +0.40 meters from the Average Sea Level (MSTH) and their length ranges from about 100 meters to about 200 meters.

Under the Contract, the existing cantilever in front of the Lebay Beach Hotel will be demolished and the three existing breakwaters will be raised to the east so that their coronation level is +0.40 meters from the Average Sea Level (MST). .

The implementation of the Project is scheduled to begin in September 2021, with a duration of execution of 24 months and a cost of € 3,377,000.00 plus VAT.
